King MacBeth?

Macbeth has killed king Duncan. He descends down the hallway to meet up with his wife afterwards. Macbeth is losing his mind. He is regretting killing the king and he is saying he will never sleep again. "Sleep no more! Glamis hath murdered sleep, and therefore Cawdor Shall sleep no more! Macbeth shall sleep no more." That regret is eating him alive but he has to overcome that because there is a possibility he will become king. Macbeth was so shocked about the deed he did he forgot to leave the daggers with the servants (who they're going to blame). Lady Macbeth comforts Macbeth and takes the daggers away from him and plants them back with the servants and smears blood on them to make it seem as if they were the murderers. Someones knocking on the door now.

Dreams of Anguish

Banquo had dreams challenging the witches truth about the noble Macbeth. He realizes Macbeth was Thane of Glamis, he did become Thane of Cawdor shortly after, and now king? Banquo wonders how far the witches truth will go. Macbeth then imagines a dagger in his hand as he is moving toward king Duncan's room. Is that just his imagination running wild or is it the real deal. When he gets his wife's signal he then knows its about that time.

Is It Worth It?

As dinner is being prepared, MacBeth begins having second thoughts about going through with this evil plan, weighing the costs and benefits of doing such a sinister deed. He says "bloody action return to plague the inventor." Since he is Duncan's kinsman, subject, and host, killing him while he is in his castle could set in motion of series of terrible consequences. Is it really worth it to be King?

MacBeth is contemplating what he should do. Lady MacBeth states that she would have killed their baby if she knew he would be a coward throughout anything. We all know MacBeth is far from cowardly. He asks if they shall fail what should they do? Lady MacBeth boots the hero's confidence and tells him as long are bold they will be successful. Macbeth and his wife come up with a brilliant, new plan to put the blame his guards. Will MacBeth actually go through with their plan? All he will need is his poker face to get him through it.

The Arrival of the King

Duncan, the Scottish Lords, and their attendants soon arrive at MacBeth castle where Lady MacBeth greets them outside. He thanks her and she tells him that it is her duty to be hospitable since she and Macbeth owe so much to him. She then invites him into their castle and they show him the "utmost respect and common courtesy" for the night before putting their plan into action.

The Sinister Mind of Lady MacBeth

On this day, Lady MacBeth receives and reads a letter sent to her from her beloved husband, MacBeth. He explains to her the premonition of the three witches and how they predicted he will be crowned Thane of Cawdor and it actually happened and also how they they predicted he will some day become the King, which means she some day will become the Queen.

She realizes that the only way that her husband will become the King is if they kill King Duncan. As a result of this sinister realization she puts together a plan to ensure the King is killed upon finding out he will stay a night at MacBeth castle. She then prays to the evil spirits that "ten on moral thoughts to unsex her and fill her from the crown to the toe top-full of direst cruelty" because she is afraid her husband is "too full of the milk of human kindness" to carry out the deed himself.

Plans Into Action

King Duncan reports back stories of how almighty MacBeth slays the old Thane of Cawdor and how he confessed his treason upon his death. Duncan announces how he's going to have Malcolm inherit the throne. That gets in MacBeth's way... He then realizes the plan to kill Duncan needs to be put into affect. The plan has to happen tonight because Duncan is leaving the following day.
