Covering Up a Cover Up

Lady Macbeth is having a strong feeling of anguish and sends for her husband. When he returns he tells how his mind is "full of scorpions". He feels that the problems created by killing Duncan are not finished since there are still threats to the throne that have to be terminated. He then informs her of having planned for Banquo to be killed and tells her to be pleasant to him during the feast to make him feel a sense of security.
